I am Dave Cook, a seasoned freshwater angler with more than fifty years of on-the-water experience. Over the years, I have restored and maintained numerous fishing reels—both my own and those belonging to friends. With a solid foundation in mechanics, I earned an auto technician degree, and I routinely apply this expertise to repairing vehicles for myself and my family.

I have pursued nearly every freshwater game species, including bass, pike, muskie, trout, salmon, walleye, and panfish. My passion for muskie fishing led me to earn a Master Angler award. Complementing that, I also have competitive experience in local bass tournaments.

These experiences have deepened my familiarity with a wide variety of reel mechanisms, wear issues, and performance needs. To put that expertise to work, I founded Reel Rehab LLC a service dedicated to restoring and optimizing fishing reels—ensuring smooth operation, reliability, and durability for anglers at every level.
